“Miracle on 34th Street”

October 30 - December 31, 2008 

(Springboro, Ohio)  The 2008 La Comedia Dinner Theatre season concludes with the theatre’s musical adaptation of the classic holiday film Miracle on 34^th Street playing through December 31.   The timeless story of Kris Kringle being committed to an insane asylum and his ensuing trial to prove that he is in fact the real Santa has been filling the hearts of generations with the Christmas spirit.

The original film starring Maureen O’Hara, John Payne, Natalie Wood, and Edmund Gwenn was released in 1947 and received three Oscar Awards.  It has been remade four times since and now the popular musical version written by Vern Stefanic with music by Doug Smith returns to the La Comedia stage after playing to sell out audiences in 2004.

As one of the nation’s largest, and the only professional dinner theatre in southwest Ohio, La Comedia produces six Broadway-style shows annually and serves a gourmet buffet before each performance.  La Comedia has been the region’s greatest value in live theatre since 1975.  With seating for 612, the theatre is large enough to produce first class productions, and small enough to provide an intimate atmosphere appropriate for any occasion. 

Tickets for Miracle on 34^th Street are now on sale and range in price from $47-$65.  Discounts include the “Early Bird Special for November performances, and Kroger Plus Card discount. 

La Comedia will also be welcoming the return of the Hoppers for two inspirational southern gospel Christmas concerts on November 24^th.
